Payton & Ben | Caruso Club

I was sooo excited for Payton and Ben’s August wedding. Payton is one of the sweetest and most genuine people I’ve ever had the privilege to work with. When I see a bride (who is under all the typical wedding day stress) treat her friends with such kindness, I know she is gold.

We watched the weather for weeks leading up to the wedding and one thing was certain, we would definitely be getting rain on their wedding day. The amount of rain seemed to changed in the forecast every day, but there was no avoiding it, rain was coming. As we left the ceremony location to take photos, the sky was black. You could feel how heavy the air was and I knew we were running on borrowed time. After speeding through family portraits and bridal party photos (a huge thank you to everyone for being so cooperative), we had a couple minutes for bride and groom portraits. Thankfully Payton and Ben had rented the Art Gallery with a covered porch so we had a back up plan for rain but it was nice to take advantage of the beautiful property before we were confined to the porch. And then boy did we get the thunderstorm of the summer!!!! I’m talking torrential downpour coming into the porch sideways.

Payton and Ben rolled with it and kept everything light and positive. What a wonderful group of friends they had by their side. I’m still shocked at how many photos we were able to capture despite the weather we were working with. I will forever remember how much fun we all had and how beautiful everything turned out.

Payton and Ben, you make a perfect couple. I’m so glad I got to be part of this day.
