Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a session?

Please head over to the investment page on my site and fill out my contact form! I try to reach out within 48 hours to schedule your session. I require a 100$ retainer to hold your date and time.

For weddings I have a separate form to fill out as it gives me more details and a generalized idea of what your wedding day will look like!

What if we have to cancel our session?

In the event of a cancellation 7 days or more prior to the scheduled session, the retainer fee can be credited towards a future session upon approval.

In the event of a cancellation 72 hours or less prior to the scheduled session, the retainer fee is non refundable.

How many photos can I expect from a 1 hour session?

I certainly don’t believe in limiting the number of photos I deliver to my clients. After all, my favourites may not be the same as your favourites. So you get all the edited photos! Typically you will receive between 80-120 photos from a 60 minute session.

When will we receive our images ?

It is very important to me to deliver your images as soon as possible! For regular sessions, my turn around time is 3 weeks! For weddings, my contract stipulates that you will receive your photos within 12 weeks. This gives me time to pour my heart and soul into your photos and deliver my best work. I definitely send sneak peeks beforehand though!

More Questions

  • Absolutely! I am a huge dog lover and have two of my own. I do however recommend bringing an extra pair of hands to help.

  • I can definitely add a second shooter if this is something you are interested in! Of course this will give you added photos to your gallery and more candid shots as my second shooter tends to go to photograph the unofficial moments.

  • I am not a videographer, however one of my wedding packages includes a highlight video (2-3 minutes long). That being said, my priority on your wedding day are your PHOTOS, so I make sure the little video clips I take throughout the day do not interfere with the photography aspect. If you want a videographer for your wedding day, I have amazing recommendations.

  • Yes! As your professional wedding photographer, I will retain copyright of all your wedding images, however I always provide a copyright release for you allowing unlimited personal use and printing of your wedding photos. If other wedding vendors approach you about using some of your photos, please send them directly to me to avoid copyright issues!

Wedding Specific Questions

  • After I’ve received your wedding questionnaire, I try to reach out within 48 hours. I always recommend a little coffee date so that we can get to know one another a little better. If you would like to move forward from that point, I send a wedding contract to be signed and I ask for a deposit of 20%.

  • I have been photographing weddings for 5 years! I have literally seen it all, I am ready to tackle anything your wedding throws my way (huge bridal parties, inclement weather, upset in-laws, unpredictable uncles). I’m ready for it!

  • All my wedding packages come with a complimentary engagement session! Therefore, removing it from the package does not affect the final cost of the package. Besides, what better way to get to know your wedding photographer than to have fun with this session and talk about all your plans for the big day!

  • I do things a little differently haha. The date for the final payment is always 2 weeks after your wedding date. A lot of my work for your wedding occurs after the fact so there is no need to pay me everything before or on the day of (unless you want to of course). You have a million other things to be stressing about on your wedding day, sending me your payment is not one of them. This gives added reassurance that I will be present at your wedding and ready to give my absolute best!

  • I don’t give a guaranteed number of photos for the simple fact that there are a million factors that impact how many photos you will receive (how much driving I’m doing, cooperation, wedding schedule running behind etc). But I average anywhere between 400-600 photos for an 8 hour wedding.

  • I do! I am a big fan of black and white! If I see a shot I think will look amazing in black and white, I do it! But I never include one without the colour version as well.
